EAMONN CEANNT DEPOT – CRUMLIN, DUBLIN

BRINGING THEM ALTOGETHER

This project was the consolidation of the various Dublin City Council south city park’s facilities into one new central depot based in Eamonn Ceannt Park in Crumlin.

The existing depot building on the site had been extended in a piecemeal manner over a number of decades and was universally accessible, energy inefficient and of insufficient size to allow for the increase of staff and machinery. The existing building was extended at either end and wrapped around two sides of the main yard with the accommodation along one side and perpendicular to that the main machinery storage building with the various storage rooms and blacksmith at the building knuckle.

The new staff facilities include canteen, office and changing facilities. Secure storage is provided for the various machinery, equipment and vehicles along with a covered working area. EV charging points are included for the electric fleet of vehicles. The upgraded building has been built to a very high standard, is universally accessible

This high energy efficient building achieved a BER A3 rating.

Completed in November 2024
