Dorman Architects recently won a Dublin Regional Homeless Executive public tender for the refurbishment and fire upgrading of a pair of 2-storey over basement Protected Structures as Emergency Homeless Housing. An exciting and challenging project which we are really looking forward to getting stuck in.

We are working on a number of private residential projects which include a deep retrofit of a house in Blackrock and further alterations and extension to another house in Blackrock where we carried out extensive renovations a decade past.

Palmerston Park Tearooms

Dorman Architects were appointed as Design Team Lead for the Detail Design to Construction for the conversion of the DCC Depot in the historic Palmerston Park into new public Tearooms. The baton was passed to us by A2 Architects who designed the project to Part 8 Planning. Now aiming to issue Tenders during the summer and hope to be on site in the autumn. Image by A2 Architects

Eamonn Ceannt Park Depot Upgrade

We are at the final stages leading to the appointment of the main contractor for the 600mm2 Depot on behalf of Dublin City Council Parks. We expect the project to commence on site in late May and be completed by May 2024.

The Sports Dome, Our Lady’s School, Terenure

We are the Employers Representative for  the Design-Build by PST Sports of a new 4,300m2 Sports Dome which will contain a Hockey Pitch, a Multi sports area for tennis, futsol, basketball and badminton and a modular building with changing facilities, lecture room and office. The ring beam has now been completed and modular building due end of the month…
