Palmerston Park Tea Room
The rooflight and exposed timber joists finally exposed; the panelling a light crisp green; outside the Leinster granite kerbing installed – next compacted gravel.

The application of the external insulation and wet dash are progressing nicely. The swift boxes are in place on the north face. We are starting with the second fix mechanical and electrical is well underway.

Works on the tea rooms are progressing well. The internal plastering and panelling is coming together. The leaf impression on the external concrete apron has been completed. The project is looking good!


Avalon House Emergency Accommodation
We are delighted to have won the contract for Integrated Design team services for the redevelopment of Avalon House on Aungier Street into a 134 bed family hub emergency housing on behalf of the Dublin Homeless Regional Executive.
Previously known as the Carmichael School of Medicine. According to Buildings of Ireland database ‘ The Carmichael School of Medicine was built in the late nineteenth century to the designs of C.G. Henderson. The elaborately detailed terracotta frontage by Albert E. Murray was added early in the following century. ‘ Other additions were built in the 1990’s when it operated as a youth hostel.




Enniscrone Public Realm
Sligo County Council has granted planning permission to the Enniscrone and District Community Development Company for the Reimagining of Enniscrone’s Cliff Walk Promenade.
The design team lead by Dorman Architects with NOJI Architects are delighted that the project has now been given the green light. The project started as the Covid pandemic swept the country in 2020 so it has been a hard but fruitful journey.



Our Lady’s School Sports Dome
Dorman Architects acted in the role as Employers Representative on this complex and challenging Design-Build project by PST Sports. The sports dome stretches to 4,200m2 and is 14m high. It accommodates a Hockey Pitch, a vast Multi sports area for tennis, futsol, badmington and basketball to FIBA standards. It also has changing rooms, classrooms and an office. Tilia were the manufacturers of the dome itself.


North Circular Road Emergency Housing
Dorman Architects integrated design team won the public tender for the refurbishment of a pair of 2-story over basement Protected Structures.
